Midsize Wire Sculpture

These figures are created using my own unique technique, I begin by forming small sections of wire mesh that is moulded and twisted into shape using a pair of pliers. I usually start building the sculpture from the feet upwards by gradually adding more and more sections of mesh and twisting the ends into each other. I use two to three layers of mesh on each sculpture which gives the figure excellent overall strength. When I am happy with the finished pose I wrap the figure from head to toe in single core wire to give it uniformity. All figures are zinc coated and given a final coat of protective laquer.
